Rescheduled Dual Meet at Southridge on Wednesday 2/12 – Dual meet vs Southridge this week on Wednesday, 2/12.  JV Wrestling starts at 6:00 pm with Varsity Wrestling starting at 7:00 pm.  The head to head dual meets are one of the most exciting competitions during the wrestling season.  For varsity matches, the lights go out and spotlights come on with the whole gym focused in on one match and watching the team scores build.  Let’s get out there and root our wrestlers on as we compete in our last Metro League match.

Double Dual Meet Thursday 2/13 at Century HS at 5:00 pm – This will be our last regular Varsity and JV matches of the season.   Varsity and JV wrestlers will be competing in a Double Dual meet vs Century and Glencoe at Century.  This is our last regional competition that counts towards seeding in our regional tournament.  The first dual will start at 5:00 pm with the second directly following.  The double dual will take place at Century High School.

Freshman/Novice District Tournament 2/14 The last freshman/novice tournament is Friday 2/14 @ Glencoe High School.  We are still waiting to get details on start time and format for this tourney.  I will send that out as soon as we have details.

Regional Tournament on Friday 2/21 and Saturday 2/22
– Just around the corner is our Region 1 Tournament .  The regional tournament will be hosted at Forest Grove High School this year.  The tournament includes all teams from our region that we have had dual meets with including: Aloha, Beaverton, Century, Forest Grove, Glencoe, Grant, Hillsboro, Lincoln, Southridge, Sunset and Westview.  Varsity and JV wrestlers will be competing together in weight class brackets.  The tournament will have place winners for the top eight wrestlers.  Wrestlers that finish in the top four of their bracket will get the opportunity to compete in the State 6A tournament the following weekend (2/28 – 3/1) at Memorial Coliseum .  The Regional Tourney is a big deal for our wrestlers!  More details on times and schedules to come.

Go Cats!!!!
