Rose City Success

Wrestling Families,

Thank you to all the VOLUNTEERS and their families that helped make Rose City Wrestling Tournament so successful. Almost all of our shifts were filled and extra thanks goes out to parents who did double shifts to make sure we had all slots covered. This fundraiser makes our quality wrestling program possible.

We are so lucky to have such dedicated coaches that put in +16hr days and weeks of pre-planning to pull this off. Some great individual performances with competition on par with state. Our team placed in top 3rd at Rose City, the largest tournament in the state, with 34 schools (9 more than last year), 638 Wrestlers (boys) and 200 Wrestlers (girls 30% more than last year)

For the 2nd time we had 3x boys in the final round for 1st place! Competing for the coveted Championship Belt, wrestlers battled through a double elimination bracket over two days. Retrieve the results for our Westview boys.

138 – Joey Coste placed – placed 2nd
220 – Anthony Perez – placed 2nd
285 – Angel Omar Blas – placed 2nd

Kurt Bergner should have some photos for use later this week
