Wildcat Wrestling Family Update #7

Recent Results – Very solid results from our dual matches last week against Sunset and Beaverton. We tied on the team score 36-36 with Beaverton but won the match on tie breaker of winning more matches in the dual.  We had a dominating 51-30 win over Sunset!

Hood River Elks results: Overall our team did not do as well as normal as we had a number of athletes unable to compete.  Congratulations to individual placers in the tournament:  Jhamantae Woods took 3rd at 220 lbs. Ryan Timmons took 5th at 138 lbs. Nic Alva placed 5th at 113 lbs.  Jastlyn Paeralta placed 3rd in the Ladies 110 lb bracket.  Way to go wrestlers!

Two Duals this week  –
At Century on Wednesday 2/1, with Novice/JV at 6:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm. Bus leaves Westview at 4:15.

At Westview vs Glencoe on Thursday 2/2, with Novice/JV at 6:00 and Varsity at 7:00 pm.  This is our last home dual of the year and will be honoring our Senior wrestlers.   All wrestlers meet right after school in the wrestling room.

Oregon City Invitational on Saturday, 2/4, atOregon City High School – Wrestling begins at 9:00 am.   Wrestlers should arrive at Westview at 5:45 am to board their bus and leave at 6:00 am.  Additional info on the tournament follows:
Tournament Format – 32 man brackets with each school being able to enter 2 wrestlers per weight class.
Schools competing: Aloha, Canby, Colton, Estacada, Forest Grove, Gladstone, Glencoe, Hermiston, LaGrande, Lake Oswego, McNary, Oregon City, Parkrose, Pendleton, Tigard, Westview, Wilson.
Location: Oregon City High School, 19761 S. Beavercreek Road, Oregon City. From I 205, take the Park Place exit (Exit 10). Travel south on Highway 213 and drive approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Beavercreek Road. Drive about 1 mile and the school is on the right. The gym is on the south side of the building, off of Meyers Rd.

NOTE: Novice Tourney at West Linn scheduled for Saturday has been canceled
